Dunks continue to sell out like hot cakes from one release to the next, and so Nike is further building upon this garnered momentum by producing many a different colorway. The Nike Dunk Low is one that is leading the charge, and after popping up with Summer-friendly “Yellow Strike” and “Purple Pulse” themes, it’s now surfacing in a fresh “Rooted in Peace” colorway that pulls influence form Japanese gardening. Uppers of this new installment are mostly crafted with a duo of materials including denim and suede. The former is shown off through the underlying toe boxes, quarters and panels, all of which are dyed in black, while the latter is visible through the neighboring light tan overlays. Creamy white accents are invited in to dress up the laces, Swooshes and Sashiko style stitchings that adorn the quarter paneling and rear. Moreover, jade green accents are situated atop the tongues and heels, and the lateral heel regions feature debossed peace signs. Midsoles are left with a colorless aesthetic, and come rounded out with a semi-translucent orange sole. Alongside the shoes comes a special tan Nike box that is marked with a “Rooted in Peace” sticker, in addition to a set of detachable pins and a green bandana that is treated with gardening tool graphics. Official images of this playful colorway can be viewed here above, and note that a Nike SNKRS release will likely go down in the coming months. For more footwear news, check out an official look at the Nike LeBron 18 Low “Greedy”.
